That’s how we see things at SMPR.
Who Is SMPR?
We’re a national company with boots (and stilettos) on the ground in Texas and California, but our approach is unlike most. We believe in providing one all-inclusive package of services without any unexpected charges or hidden fees. We have relationships with writers and media outlets the world over and understand how to give them what they need to tell the most compelling story.
Each member of our talented team brings a unique skill set to the party and we select only the best for every project. That’s when the magic happens.
Because sometimes the path to success is also paved with candy.
And guarded by unicorns.

Prior to SMPR, Jenifer was a real estate executive with Republic Property Group and was instrumental in the development of Lake Forest, a Dallas high-end residential community. Upon completion of the project, she saw the opportunity to take the aspects she enjoyed most (marketing, public relations and event planning) and venture out on her own to create Strauss Marketing – PR.
She’s also very involved in her community, and has organized, chaired, and raised funds for numerous non-profit and community organizations that are close to her heart.
Jenifer splits her time between Dallas and Los Angeles with her two dogs, Stella and Sophie.
Her skill and passion lies in coordinating communication campaigns across various platforms to create engaging content for social media channels. Nicki has been successful at taking traditional press materials and converting them into multimedia formats to garner press coverage in new and measurable ways. She has also been successful at bridging new partnerships to create innovative ways to communicate a brand’s message.
Prior to SMPR, Nicki’s experiences included time at Edelman where she worked on corporate accounts including MetroPCS, The Boy Scouts of America, Project Management Institute, Dickies, and OMGPop. Before that, she worked as an Information Technology Consultant at Protiviti in Dallas, TX where she spent time evaluating client businesses and working with strategy teams to find new efficiencies in technology business processes. Nicki holds a Management Information Systems (MIS) degree from the University of Texas at Austin, and resides in Las Colinas, Texas with her husband and their dog, Pixel.
Ashley E. Rodgers
Prior to joining Wagstaff, she was the director of special events and marketing at The Buffalo Club in Santa Monica, where she planned and produced high-profile corporate and celebrity events.
From there she went on to open her own public relations consulting business, which led to heading up the SMPR California office where she calls on her diverse professional background to implement the most successful PR campaigns possible for each client.
She is a board member on the Culver City Cultural Affairs Foundation and an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Ashley holds a bachelor of business administration in accounting from Texas Tech University. She resides in Culver City, California with her dog Ollie G.
