Los Angeles-based 800 Degrees hired SMPR to announce the new name and direction of their multi-unit brand, 800° Woodfired Kitchen. SMPR secured a Nation’s Restaurant News exclusive on the rebrand that published the morning of a scheduled wire service distribution and personalized pitches to trade, local and national media. The articles garnered from the rebranding outreach laid the groundwork for an announcement on the expansion to a new market, New York City, and a celebrity partnership with Dwyane Wade. SMPR collaborated with Wade’s team to announce his partnership as a brand ambassador and franchisee of the rebranded concept.
